Staff Nurse James

Michele from Petone

This is a really random post. When I was 7 (around 1968) I was in Lower Hutt hospital with Rheumatic fever. There was a wonderful nurse called Staff Nurse James who really looked after me and even used to buy me purple ribbons for my red hair. She made my stay in hospital a very memorable one. She was a very bubbly lady and I remember she used to sing a song called "A strange, strange world master Jack". I think about her often and wondered if she would still be here today. I recall that she lived in Petone and used to make marmalade. I would love to hear from anyone who knows of her. Thank you.

Do you think it's inconsiderate for people to have lengthy phone calls on a bus? Vote in the poll, and add your comments below.
