OKAY! Garage Sale time again!

Kate from Trentham

This Monthly Garage Sale is in its THIRTIETH YEAR - can you believe that - and for the past few years, a Carboot Sale runs alongside it. Come and see why we call it the Garage Sale with the Big Difference. A free cuppa always provided with a cheesy toast triangle (while they last) before or after you've found your treasure among all the bargains. Car boot sites $15 - book by phone 528 3454 or text 0274 707 522. Limited space indoors if weather is against us! Venue - UHBC Community Centre, corner Fergusson Drive and Milton Street, Upper Hutt - doors open 8.30am tomorrow, SATURDAY 7 SEPTEMBER. Oh, before I forget - did you see the article about this community event in current edition of Vibrant Hutt?

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
