Get a strong start
We’re helping women take that first step into the trades. Women who have the right kinds of strengths for the trades. Mental strength, determination, endurance, perseverance. Strengths that many women with life experience have.
If you’re thinking of changing career or returning to work, register for The BCITO & Mitre 10 Building Women Night.
You’ll get to chat to women apprentices paving the way, talk to BCITO staff about the 15 different trade qualifications, meet employers about future opportunities, or have a crack on the tools for a taste of the trades.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
