One mystery over the origin of the Hutt Swimming Club has been solved and the club is now keen to find out more about its early history.
The club is looking to celebrate its 100th birthday when the Huia Pool extension opens in late July.
President Robert Gibb said very little was known about known about its early history, other than a reference in an old handbook to 1926.
