Computer Scams
Hi everyone
I'm getting a lot of calls about another round of computer scams, this time targeting Spark customers regarding the change of email service. Have a read of the article below on stuff.....

If anybody phones you about your computer hang up, no legitimate company will phone you out of the blue saying you have a problem? Even if they say they are from Spark or Microsoft.
Also look at for any software on your computer popping up with a message to say you have problems, most of the time this will be Malware trying to get you to buy a program.
There is also another scam going around where you click on a link in Facebook and a message comes on the screen saying your hard drive will be deleted if you turn of the computer and you need to call a phone number. The easy solution is to turn of your computer by pressing and holding in the power button for 10 seconds (your hard drive will not be deleted) then restart you computer. Do not click on the Facebook link again and run a anti Malware scan. The free version of Malewarebytes is a good program to run.
Cheers
Owen

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
