As you are well aware the General Election is on 23 September 2017. It is under 6 weeks away!
Here are some alarming statistics! One million eligible New Zealanders did not vote in the 2014 Election! They have been described as the missing million! Of these about 750,000 enrolled but did not vote and about 250,000 did not even enrol.
In New Zealand voting is not compulsory (in Australia it is) but enrolment is required by law.
In the last NZ Census (2013) 45% of the population described themselves as Christians. Assuming that the voting & eligibility ratios among the Christian population are the same as the rest of NZ’s population then some 450,000 professing Christians did not vote. Even if we reduced this figure by almost half then a very conservative estimate would be at least 250,000 professing Christians did not vote in the last election!

Insane packaging

Michael from Pinehaven

Got a courier delivered heavy duty cardboard box - all of 26cm wide by 22cm high. Inside it was a tiny single tablet ie pill.

No the pill is not anything life-changing for me. It is a flea prevention tablet for my Corgi. It could have been posted in an ordinary envelope.

Think about this heating option for your home ...

GAS HEATERS AND FIRES

Fast, convenient and easily regulated heat, gas can bring a moderately sized room to a warm comfortable temperature in about 10-15minutes. Energy Star rated flued gas heaters are the most efficient and won’t release moisture or harmful gases into your home. Glass-fronted gas fireplaces are significantly more efficient than open fronted and create much smaller carbon footprints. If you live in an area that has no gas supply, you can have tanks that are delivered to you, last for months and only get changed out as required.

However, many injured Kiwis seeking to dispute rejected claims are concerned ACC is using private attorneys to outsmart them.

Russel Watts, 50, from Taupo, said he postponed his review earlier this week after he found out he'd be facing off against a senior corporate attorney from Wellington.
