Demolition begins on Petone's century-old tobacco factory
Petone’s Imperial Tobacco Factory is being demolished to make way for townhouses and a business park.
One person who was not happy to see the building come down was Sandra Paulin. She spent 48 happy years at the factory.
“I suppose I don't want it to go – it was my life. I always thought when I retired I’d be able to drive past and still see it going.”
