The new bins will be delivered in waves, based on the day of the week your recycling is currently collected. So if you normally put your recycling crate out to be collected on Monday, your new bins could be delivered anytime from early May.

Monday: Delivering

Tuesday: Mid May

Wednesday: Mid May

Thursday: Late May

Friday: Early June

When you receive your new bins, remember not to put them out until the new service kicks off from 1 July. Your glass recycling crate may be delivered inside one of the 240L bins.

Mayor Campbell Barry opened the Les Dalton Dog Park with about 500 people and a large contingent of dogs in attendance, on Saturday.
In opening the park, Barry paid tribute to the late Les Dalton, who came up with the original vision for the idea.
Dalton worked for the Hutt City Council's animal control services team for 43 years, and was a prominent local and national voice about dog control.
Michelle Dalton, Les' daughter, spoke on behalf of the whānau, and said that she knew Les would be looking down on the park with a smile.

Malicious email impersonating NZ Post circulating

New Zealand Post have published a warning to customers after several variations of a scam email were reported over the past 24 hours.

The email asks to correct personal details because of a failed parcel delivery.

New Zealand Post have published a warning to customers after several variations of a scam email were reported over the past 24 hours.

The email asks to correct personal details because of a failed parcel delivery.

The email directs the recipient to 'schedule a new delivery'. If any individual has received these emails, NZ Post has advised to delete it immediately.

In a statement sent to Neighbourly, NZ Post confirmed that it had taken 24 websites offline in relation to the scam.
