Housing intensification - deadline to have your say

Simon from Belmont

Time is running out to put in your views on Hutt City Council's proposals to change rules in residential zones that would allow 3-storey apartment units and townhouses in medium density developments, and on single sections in nine parts of the city around transport and shopping hubs (including Epuni, Avalon and Waterloo). Other changes will allow greater scope for 'granny flats' and tiny houses. Only if you have your say in this first stage of consultation (deadline March 9) do you get a chance to comment on submissions from others later in the Plan Change process.
Find out more here, www.huttcity.govt.nz... proposal out for consultation, or come along to one of the informative drop-in clinics where you can check out what might happen in your neighbourhood:
Thursday 22 February 3pm-8pm Wainuiomata Memorial Hall (Supper Room), Queen Street, Wainuiomata
Saturday 24 February 10am-2pm The Dowse, 45 Laings Rd
Tuesday 27 February 4pm-8pm Naenae Community Hall, Cnr Everest and Treadwell Streets, Naenae
