Confused about the by-election in the Central Ward? If you want to find out more, there is a meet the candidates meeting this Wednesday.
The moderator and MC is local comedian Jerome Chandrahasen (pictured). The by-lection was caused by the recent resignation of long standing councillor David Bassett.
Each candidate will be given the same amount of time to introduce themselves and there will be questions from the floor.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
