Boulder Hill Bushwalk & Panorama - Sat 19 Oct 10.30 am
To get there:
• take the Kelson exit from SH2 & follow Major Drive approx 2.5km
• turn left into Kaitangata Cres., & continue about 1.2km to GW carpark on left just beyond a power pylon; meet here by the noticeboards
• if the carpark is full, park on the roadside in Kaitangata Cres (not on the private road uphill from the carpark).
We did a recce last weekend & suggest you allow 2.5 hours up & back (might depend on weather & how long we linger at the summit!)
• family, friends, visitors welcome (no dogs please)
• bring wind/waterproof jacket (just in case)+ drink, snack/lunch
• medium fitness + suitable footwear needed (climb on way up).
