Angel and animal candle holder clay class

Cate from Belmont

Clay class at Fig Tree Studio. Join me to make magical angel and animal clay candle holders*. We will use my hand drawn templates, white clay, slab building techniques and imprinting with fabrics.
Add colour using coloured slips, or choose clear, blue or green glaze, which will be added once they are bisque fired.
As well as candles, they can hold crystals, small jewelry or other keepsakes.

I provide all materials, double kiln firings and glaze, plus teas and nibbles. Creations are ready to collect 4 weeks after class.

Booking is essential: clpates@hotmail.com or 021 143 7705
$65 per person
Sunday 8 November
2:00pm- 4:30pm
*Please note that the angel candle holder is unglazed in the photo, but all creations will be glazed after the class

Price: $65

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
