‘End summer on a high point” walk
Sunday 24 Feb 9.30am -noon
Route - Upper Kelson - to Boulder Hill (mix of bush & farmland)
* medium fitness (some steepish parts)
* 360 degree views (including route of TxG motorway)
* bring – drink, snack, jacket (just in case)
* binoculars recommended
To get there:
* take the Kelson exit from SH2 & follow Major Drive approx 2.5km
* turn left into Kaitangata Cres & continue about 1.2km to the GW Regional Council carpark on left just beyond a power pylon
* meet by information board 9.30am
* if the carpark is full, park on the roadside in Kaitangata Cres - NOT the private road uphill from the carpark ).
