Hutt City Council last night voted in changes to its smokefree policy.
The changes focus on making the city increasingly smokefree and asking people not to vape in smokefree areas.

It's all cut to good burning lengths and very well seasoned. You do need to come to collect it and I was thinking that I would sell it by the wheelbarrow load - $15. Sorry upped the price as we realised our wheelbarrow is really large :) I still have about 5 cubic metres so you can still make me an offer for the lot. Call me on 022 069 7536.

We have received the results from the shoreline testing following the public concern raised via social media.
The results are well below bathing standards, indicating it is safe for recreational water activity.

We have been made aware of a video on social media of Titahi Bay beach with comments of suspected wastewater pollution/sewage.
We can confirm there has been no discharge or overflow event from the Porirua Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The video shows seaweed and sea foam, which is common following heavy winds.
We will be conducting tests in the area for reassurance, and will provide an update when these results have been received.

Thanks to the incredible effort of students, teachers and whānau, over 30,000 cans were collected and will make a huge difference to Salvation Army foodbanks around Aotearoa.
