Friday Feathered Friend

Nicholas Boyack Reporter from The Post

Words and pictures this week from Rosa Marie.

"I managed to get some birdie time yesterday at Silverstream just in time before the wet weather set in! Spent a bit of time chasing an elusive kōtare but no shots unfortunately! I did get close to a few Goldfinches at one stage which is unusual as they are normally very skittish!
I discovered a shag high up in the trees near a playground too! A shame it was too dark to get a decent capture but I liked the shadow effect! Saw lots of ducks in the stream, I think that there were a couple of Australian Shovellers if I am not mistaken!
The first photos is of tui that I had earlier been stalking around my property. He had plenty to say to me...."

International Joke Day

Stephen from Maungaraki

My wife shouted downstairs "Do you ever get a shooting pain across your body like someone’s got a voodoo doll of you and they’re stabbing it"

"No", I replied, she said “RIGHT, WHAT ABOUT NOW”
