Tom Murphy running to be Councillor for Greater Wellington Regional Council
Kia ora everyone,
Really excited to let you all know I'm running for Greater Wellington Regional Council in Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai / Lower Hutt General Constituency.
We live in an amazing area, but there’s still loads that needs to be done to make things better for everyone.
Smart solutions for people & the environment have always been my passion.
One of my strengths is the ability to look at things differently… & that’s what we need!
We need approaches that deliver more benefits for lower cost, rather than just doing the same-old stuff over & over again.
I want to “Go Fast & Fix Things”.
So, if you want to know more about my ideas, please check out my Facebook page: TomMurphyforGreaterWellington
Your #1 vote would be most appreciated!
I believe we can do great things together.
Cheers,
Tom
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.6% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
A Neighbourly Riddle! Don’t Overthink It… Or Do?😜
