Should Kiwi kids be allowed to cycle on the footpath?
Hi all, thank you so much for your comments on this issue. It's certainly been a lively debate. Comments are now closed on this topic.
A Lower Hutt mother is one step closer to achieving her goal of allowing children to cycle on the footpath, thanks to a New Zealand Transport Agency report. Jo Clendon has presented a petition to Parliament to allow children and accompanying adults to cycle on footpaths as a safer alternative to the road. What do you think? Would it be safer for kids? Or would it create risks for pedestrians? Comments may be used in print unless you state otherwise with NFP (not for print)
