CHRISTMAS DINNER HELP NEEDED URGENTLY
We are organising a Christmas Dinner on 24th November for Christian Fellowship For Disabled, for about 55 people to be held at Moera Community Hall. As we are a charity, and to keep the cost down for participants, we are doing a 'mucking in' type of meal. Unfortunately the lady who volunteered to cook the mains part of the meal has pulled out due to a family crisis, so we are URGENTLY seeking for volunteers to cook, serve, clean up - even provide entertainment! Begonia house to be demolished at botanic gardens
It's outrageous that the Wellington City Council are going to demolish the Begonia house at the Botanic gardens. This is an asset. One would have thought the green faction of the council would have supported fixing it. It's strange no one has questioned the price required to fix it. Cycle ways more important than begonia house i think not
