Halloween in the Hutt Map - Participation Call 🎃
This is my 4th year running this map for Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt communities.
Last year I had over 100 locations (private homes, organisations and community events) signed up to be on the map, and it’s shaping up to be another great year of ensuring a safe spooky season for all!
If you would like to participate in the map, please complete this form forms.gle...
Key dates:
12:00pm 29th October 2024 - Map goes live to the public
12:00pm 31st October 2024 - Map participation sign up closes
3:00am 1st November 2024 - Map is removed from public view
Details regarding the map and personal detail usage is provided on the sign up form.
Follow “Halloween in the Hutt” on Facebook & Instagram for more details.
If you need incentive/encouragement to take part, here’s a glimpse of what the map currently looks like and the photos are my place (Avalon) last year! Adults and kids alike had fun and took photos with some of the props we had out (the executioner block).
Looking forward to the spooks ahead and thanks in advance for participating!
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
