Choice News Tuesday: Our celebrity albatross is due for its first flight soon!
The only mainland Royal Albatross breeding colony in the world can be found at Dunedin's Taiaroa Head. The Albatross are largest (and arguably the prettiest) seabird and is a taonga species to MΔori.

Why the live feed? Well, the royal albatross are slow-breeding birds, and lay only one egg every two years.
Currently the chick in the feed is in its post-guard period, and is left alone. The parents are only returning with food every few days. This little chick will be hitting a milestone really soon - it will finally take their first flight in September! Keep an eye on our little celebrity here.

Hi Line Dancers.Putting up our 2nd to last line dancing for this Mon,at Nae nae Bowling Club with our beautiful Kathy 11:15am.This lady has had bells on her toes from her 1st steps an 74years later still going strong.Its not all about the line dancing its meeting new frenz an chatting about every day happenings.Next Mon, is our last until we re-open Feb,3rd.There will be a light luncheon an cuppa after our session to wind down.So come on all you cowboys an ladies @ $7 you get a gud work out.
