Heartbeats Public Talk on Exercise-based Heart Rehabilitation

Trent Lash from Heartbeats West Auckland

Heartbeats is a charity and a not-for-profit, support and education organization for heart event survivors, their family and whanau. We have four support groups operating across Auckland and over 200 members

Over 4,000 heart patients are discharged from Auckland hospitals each year.
Over 10,000 people die of heart disease every year in New Zealand (that's one every 55 minutes).

Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation with psychological counselling support and advice on diet can reduce hospital readmission in the first year of a heart attack by almost 30%

Heartbeats is sponsoring a talk on Exercise for Heart recovery, by Catherine Moss, M.Sc. registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, from Optimize Health (Kumeu), on 2nd May at SturgesWest Community Centre , Henderson.

WHERE: SturgesWest Community Centre, 58 Summerland Drive, Henderson

Come along and hear Catherine talk about the Heartbeats/Optimize Health CARDIO programme.

Its FREE, informal and all heart event survivors and family are very. welcome.
