Views, Privacy, Comfortable Family Home
This modern, three double-bedroomed, sun-filled home is on an elevated corner site which ensures privacy. The master bedroom includes a walk-through wardrobe as well as an ensuite. Bright, airy, open-plan living enhanced by vaulted ceilings creates a natural sense of spaciousness throughout this house. Outside from the sun-drenched north-facing deck Helensville's iconic McKenzie Hills pop your eyes from front row seats. Not everyone has such beautiful views. A small totally fenced in yard at the rear of this well-maintained home and property will keep very young children and pets safe. There is also in this contained area a pleasantly private covered patio offering alternative outdoor living when the sun beams too brightly, or rain threatens to wet the potato chips. This very well presented home, in an excellent area of Helensville definitely should be seen.

Hokitika has been named the most welcoming town in NZ in Booking.com's 10th annual Traveller Review Awards.
Would be keen to hear from those who live there or who have visited whether they think the town really is exceptionally friendly. What makes it a welcoming place, or otherwise? Were there any cafes, restaurants, shops or other places you received a particularly warm welcome?
Lake Tekapo and Oamaru came in second and third place respectively, followed by Cambridge, Picton, Invercargill, Martinborough, Kerikeri and Palmerston North. Would also love to hear from you if you have thoughts on these places. Please include 'NFP' (not for publication) in your comment if you don't want it to appear in a travel article.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts?

Perfectly functional shoe rack looking for a new home.
Needs a bit of a dust off, but other than that it holds shoes quite well and would be ideal for someone's garage.

Kia ora Neighbours, A contested decision by politicians on the Upper Harbour Local Board to mow down 8,000 native plants and young trees, could bring a hefty bill. Council staff reject that there was a mistake in the planting, and now there could be a big bill. What do you think ?
