Seeking volunteers for the Kaikohe Repair Cafe
Between 1 and 4pm next Friday (26th of November) the Repair Cafe re-opens at the great new venue at the Pioneer Village at 1A Recreation Road, Kaikohe.
Some of the former 'repairers' have left so talent is sought in the areas of; small mechanical repairer, household appliance repairer, tool sharpener, restorer, cabinet maker, carpenter, metal worker, leather worker or any other skill you may think would be useful.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
