Lovingly cared for ever since and regularly tuned, our antique Ibach boudoir grand piano is again looking for a new home as we are buying a larger piano to replace it. Built in Germany in 1904 (serial number 49753) the piano has been a cornerstone of musical life here at the Flute Farm Studio in Kerikeri, featuring in concerts, supporting music lessons and providing countless hours of joy. The Ibach has ivory keys, an ornate music stand and turned wooden legs with brass casters. Would suit adult hobby musician/ student pianist - we are hoping the piano might stay in the Bay of Islands! Viewing/ playing welcome by arrangement. $5000 ono

Firefighters are also on high alert, with helicopters at the ready, in case the wind causes flare-ups in one of three fires still burning in Kaipara and the Far North. This summer has been one of the worst fire seasons in decades, with nearly 3000 hectares burnt by four major fires, as well as numerous smaller vegetation fires.
