CONGRATULATIONS & THANK YOU to GLENYS PIPER for 40 years of outstanding service to the Citizens Advice Bureau Far North.
Glenys joined the CAB in 1985 and has been an active volunteer since. She has held the position of Chairperson for 4 years. Trainer for 20 years. On-Going Learning Officer for 3 years and a Committee Member for 5 years.
In 2009 Glenys received an award for her service from our Head Office, and last year, in recognition of her outstanding service, she was awarded Honorary Life Membership. Later this year Glenys will receive her 40-year Service Certificate.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
