Thames Market this Saturday will be going until 1pm
A huge market awaits visitors this Saturday with much nicer weather than last Saturday (you probably don't have to rug up like Mike's dogs). All our food stalls are back plus a new one - Al and his real fruit ice cream bus! We'll also have smoked mussels, persimmon, Mrs Greenjeans Seedlings last stall before the winter break, succulents, soaps, jewellery and bone carvings, arts and crafts galore. You'll certainly find a little present for HM 😊. And if your shoulders get sore from lugging all those purchases, Peter Bacchus' soft touch sees you right.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
