Santa is coming to town - from the editor :)
Christmas fever has certainly taken hold in Franklin.
I love this festive time of the year - yes, it’s out-of-control busy, but so exciting - especially for the younger members of the Kaio household.
It’s all on this weekend in Pukekohe and Tuakau for the town’s annual Christmas parades. Santa sure is going to be busy Saturday and Sunday.
His first port of call is Tuakau on Saturday, with floats set to make their way down the main street at 3pm sharp.
Then Pukekohe gets to host the big jolly man in red on Sunday, with the parade kicking off at 2pm.
Both are shaping up to be great events, and the team at FCN will be at both. Look out for photos in Tuesday’s paper next week.

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?
The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.
Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.
