Hi Southland. Welcome to Stuff Motoring Top Cars for 2018. We're celebrating the best cars of the year - and one big winner. How do we make our selections? The only hard and fast rule is that we have to have tested them in our own time here on New Zealand roads.
You'll find winners for the major vehicle categories in New Zealand, as well as our choices for Sexiest Car, Top Car Interior and even Top Brand - the one we reckon has the most accomplished and comprehensive overall range of models at the moment.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
