Things are very different for train driver Gavin Mortimore now days. What changes have you seen in your industry of work or daily life?
As a young boy, Gavin Mortimore remembers being interested in the steam and the smell of train engines attending railway picnics with his dad.
In in 1971, at 19 years old he got a job at KiwiRail.
Throughout his 47 years in the industry he has achieved a lot and seen many changes, he said.
