When Tina Baird noticed a metallic colour in her daughters eye, she had no idea she was going blind from retinoblastoma, a form of cancer.
Ruby was just short of turning two years old when she had her right eye removed in 2012.
The family will be among others throughout the country collecting for the Child Cancer Foundation on March 16 and 17.
