What a great effort! How do you think our Southlander youngsters went at the Colgate Games this year? Did you know anyone who competed? How did they go?
Southland youngsters got more than just medals after returning from the South Island Colgate Games this week.
Athletics Southland vice-chairman of the track and field committee Phil Hartley said the children all got on well, both in their sports and in their sportsmanship, some making new friends at the weekend.
Southland athletes bagged 30 medals overall with many others close to getting a place or scoring personal bests, he said.
