Syringes, glass bottles and nappies found on southern beaches
A used syringe was found by an 11-year old boy on a beach in Southland.
Shane Wilson and his son Brayden Wilson, 11, had been travelling to beaches throughout Southland picking up rubbish as they went.
Plastic bottles, packaging, fishing equipment, rope and shotgun shells were generally the most common rubbish they found.
