Turning off the lights for Heritage Month
Have you ever wondered what a museum is like after dark?
Historians will be turning off the lights in the Southland Museum and Art Gallery and leading a torch light tour on Thursday, March 9, as part of Heritage Month celebrations.
Southland Museum and Art Gallery operations co-ordinator Hayley Browne said the tour would be magical.
The idea, inspired by the movie Night at the Museum, allowed people to see the museum in a different light.
