Update save the Teviot Street Reserve
Hi every one
I am getting as many submissions this week to put together a community group submissions
I have about 10 so far if you would like to put your submission in with the community submission, so we can make a bigger impact to the council please drop them of before Thursday to 223 Ettrick street the community submissions will be hand delivered to the council
I will complete a door to door to get the community's feed back for the future of the reserve, its a tick box so about 1 min to complete for any one, this has been put together from the information and ideas put forward at 2 meetings we have already held.
We are organising a community BBQ at the reserve (1 or 2 April not sure what day or time as yet )to get every one together to thank and to update the community, also see what support we will have for the meeting on 4/4/17 at 4pm at the hearing
If your able to help with any thing please let me know, I am forming a committee (as I can't do this all on my own) to help complete all the tasks need to save the reserve and make it a place for the future of our community
If you can drop your submission off to me for the community's joint submission that would be great by this Thursday
223 Ettrick st
Thank you again for your support if you need help with writing your submission please do not hesitate to ask I am happy to help

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
15% ... It is complicated
