I haven't seen or heard anything since. Not that it affects me but I am sure there are many wanting to water their gardens with a hose rather than cart grey water.
I think people should be allowed too water their vegie gardens by hand held hose and that be one of the last to be restricted . Food for the family is far more important than nice looking lawns and flowers or car wash.
Perhaps this has been a wakeup call for people too think about water supply in an emergency should something unexpected prevent the supply. Perhaps a small tank attatched to the garage downpipe with an inlet and an outlet too allow continued fresh flow.
When I was at the recycling centre the other day to get a pipe or spouting to divert water to another container the lady was saying they had sold 60 odd 200 lire drums . I didn't need one as I got a collapsible tank from CHCH a year ago for vegie garden water. Vegies love rain water.
Anyway I had better be away and do something useful .. like make a cup of coffee.
