Machine Operator/Mill Hand Position at Southwood Export
Based at our Awarua Chip Mill 15km from Invercargill, this position involves a variety of tasks including; unloading log trucks to feed our plant using either wheel loader or digger, monitoring/controlling the chipping process and associated plant, loading out chip and sawdust along with routine maintenance and clean up.
Some of the tasks and machinery we have are specific to our type of operation so both on and offsite training will be provided.
Ideally, the person we are looking for would have some experience working in and around mobile machinery, fixed plant and associated maintenance.
Being part of a small team, occasionally there are variations to both hours worked and tasks involved.
