Decoding dyslexia for adults - understand and manage it
Did you know that these famous New Zealanders are dyslexic? The Mad Butcher, Richard Taylor from Weta Workshop and John Britten. Dyslexia can be diagnosed at any point on a line (continuum) between slightly to severe indications. It can show itself as a lifelong difficulty or frustration with learning.
The new programmes that we have invested in can assess adults and give them an indication of where they sit on that line. The programmes, along with personal tutoring or small group tuition, can assist adults to understand and manage their situation. Dyslexia is not something that is going to go away but they can learn strategies to manage it more efficiently in their lives.
