New Zealand Red Cross Annual Appeal Street Appeal
Whether it is an international disaster, an earthquake in Kaikoura or delivery of Meals on Wheels to vulnerable elderly, Red Cross is there to help. You can be involved in this valuable work too. Our Annual Street Appeal this year will be held from 27th February – 05th March and I invite you to support our appeal by giving up two hours of your time to collect of us on either Thursday 02nd or Friday 03rd March.
Our sites will be open between 8:30am and 5pm.

If you are able to help us out, please contact Amanda Evans at amanda.evans@redcross.org.nz or

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
