New Zealand Red Cross Annual Appeal Street Appeal
Whether it is an international disaster, an earthquake in Kaikoura or delivery of Meals on Wheels to vulnerable elderly, Red Cross is there to help. You can be involved in this valuable work too. Our Annual Street Appeal this year will be held from 27th February – 05th March and I invite you to support our appeal by giving up two hours of your time to collect of us on either Thursday 02nd or Friday 03rd March.
Our sites will be open between 8:30am and 5pm.
Your contribution to our appeal will enable our local, national and international programmes to continue. Should you like to hear more about our programmes or other activities please contact us at the Invercargill Service Centre.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
