Mr McLean has a history of compliance issues and upheld customer complaints relating to the poor quality of his inspections. Mr McLean failed to properly inspect brakes, exhaust systems and corrosion repairs. He also allowed his personal issuing authority to be used for Warrant of Fitness (WoFs) inspections he did not perform. Read more

Avenal Park Funeral Home supports local organisations who assist people suffering from grief. Able Invercargill is running the Waves Programme, commencing Wednesday 27 February 2019.

Waves is an 8-week programme that aims to support adults 18+ years old who have been bereaved by suicide. The programme combines learning about suicide and bereavement with group discussion and support. The group is facilitated by two trained facilitators and supports members to:
- Meet and share with others who are also experiencing the impact of suicide
- Provide a safe, supportive environment to explore aspects of their grief and reduce isolation and stigma associated with bereavement by suicide
- Gain information and strategies about how to care for themselves and others (including children and young people) after a suicide
- Adjust to living with loss and moving forward

Next scheduled programme in Invercargill:
Wednesday 27th February 2019 to Wednesday 17th April 2019, 7pm - 9pm

The incident occurred between 8 - 8.30am on Monday 4 February, near a park on Iona Street.

The person was on foot and was described as wearing dark clothing, dark shoes and dark head wear.

Police would like to hear from anyone who has information which could assist our investigation.
