August Queenstown bike ride.

John from East Invercargill

Last month I got a new toy so I dragged the wife kicking and screaming , actually screaming with delight and kicking my butt to get a move on , off to Queenstown for a few days too try it out. It was a little frosty but fine and the sun was low and in the eyes but the pain was worth it with a few of the pics I took . I know people go on about how expensive Queenstown is but the air is free which matches the views with 3 days of free riding some of the trails. Come on summer so I can have a go at those Central Otago ones.
As usual , Clicking on a picture enlarges it in a new window for a better view. The last ones were Lake Hayes and notice after someone ( hint : last pic ) kicked my butt it need a pillow too handle the 30 - 40 kms a day

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
