Building for lease - Central Hoki, Great space for Shop, Gallery, Office

Vaughan from Westland District

This is a single storeyed gable roofed building and with street frontage on frontage on Hamilton Street. It is part of the Renton’s Building complex, and is adjacent to the old Renton’s Hardware Building.

Construction is mainly of wooden floors with concrete foundation, steel framing, plastered brick exterior walls and a corrugated iron roof.

Much of the window joinery has recently been renewed with aluminum frames and the roof has also been replaced so that it is in tidy condition.

The building has a gross area of 151m2 and was constructed around 1966 and was extensively remodeled in 2016. It is divided into a front showroom, and a staff area/office space, toilet, service bay/garage at the rear.

The Building has been repainted, insulated and relined (where appropriate) It has also had new electrical cabling, power box, and light fittings throughout. The wooden floors have been sanded and polished. It has two parking spaces allocated, but additional parking can be arranged as required.

We will consider long terms and short-term leases. This would be an idea pop up shop over summer.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
