Hokitika Primary School's Christmas Pantomime
The Christmas Carols have started a bit earlier this year at Hokitika Primary as we prepare for our Christmas Pantomime to lead up to the turning on of the Hokitika Christmas Tree lights on Friday 1st December.
This is a community fundraiser to assist with the upgrade of our school pool and the students at HPS will all be performing on the night along with members of the wider community (including the staff and Board of Trustees).
It will be a wonderful night of entertainment with a beautiful storyline that will appeal to families and a wide range of carols that will have the audience singing along. Of course Santa will be paying a visit and there will lots of Christmas goodies available prior to the 7pm start.
At the conclusion of the show, Snoopy will fly in to lead us to the wonderful Christmas tree where we will sing in the turning on of the Christmas tree lights. A show not to be missed, but with it only being performed for one night, tickets will sell out quickly!

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
