What do you remember about your teachers from primary school?
We're looking to write a fun story about what teachers got away with back in the day before the 90s made much of it taboo. I had a teacher who would dangle naughty kids out the window by their feet, and one leathery old teacher who would get her favourite students to rub her feet while reading us a story. What were teachers doing back in your day they wouldn't be able to do now? Please, only things we can look back and laugh at. You may be contacted or your comment used in print.

How are SH6 speed limit changes being received, one month in?
On December 18, Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) dropped the speed limits along SH6 between Nelson and Blenheim.
Police say the majority of road users were adhering to the new limits, with an educational approach had been taken in monitoring driver behaviour, while motorists have been largely accepting of the changes.
What has been your experience of the speed limit changes? Has it resulted in noticeably slower travel times or different driver behaviour?

We love how creative some people are with their plant giving! This is for goodie bags for a 7 year olds party but we reckon you could borrow this wonderful idea for the Neighbours Day Aotearoa Great Plant Swap!
What a lovely gift to get and it's not just kids who love sunflowers.
ADDED BONUS: if you give your neighbours sunflower seeds you would get to enjoy their beautiful flowers too!

Kai Fest cancelled over Covid concerns
Whakatū Marae and Founders Heritage Park made the joint decision to cancel the festival, scheduled for Waitangi Day, taking into account an “incredibly challenging” 2020, and the ongoing threat of Covid-19.
What do you think of the decision - and will it affect your Waitangi Day plans?
