Summer Flower Show
Hello neighbours, this Saturday afternoon is the Hawera Horticultural Society’s Summer Flower Show. Doors are open from 12 till 5, entry is $3 and entitles you to a free packet of seeds. We have many sales stalls and a great society sales table. Refreshments are also on offer and are home cooked. Come and enjoy the flowers of summer at the Community hall on Albion Street, Hawera
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
