As a mostly volunteer-led organisation, our members know first hand the value and impact that a single volunteer can make in our communities. Imagine then how much can be achieved when several volunteers or even an entire street or neighbourhood decide to work together to achieve the same goal!
Whether you plan to coordinate your own volunteer driven activity, take part in one that’s already been setup, participate in National Volunteer Week (20-26 June), or simply show your own volunteers some extra love this month, know that every bit of effort to give back is a priceless investment in all of our futures.

Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd has recalled Pams Brand Cassava Vege Crisps Original 150g, due to the possible presence of milk, an allergen that is not declared on the ingredients list.
In a statement, the Ministry for Primary Industries says that any customer with a milk allergy or intolerance should return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
What you need to know:
- The product is sold at Pak'n Save, New World and Four Square stores throughout New Zealand.
- It is sold in a 150g package.
- Best before date is 19 OCT 21.
- No other flavour is affected.
Customers with any questions or concerns are encouraged to contact Foodstuffs Own Brands Ltd.

I was at a meeting yesterday and the councillors were discussing how much they should pay the people who sit on the boards for council-owned companies. It comes to the equivalent of about $120 an hour for the airport board.
