UPCOMING MIDDLE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE WORK

Communications from Hastings District Council

Planned drinking water and wastewater network extensions and road safety improvements are starting on Middle Road, Havelock North.

From Tuesday 4 June (weather dependent), a section of Middle Rd, from Breadalbane Rd to the Gilpin Rd intersection, will be closed during the first stage of this two-stage project. The work is expected to take about 10 months. We will provide updates on the second stage of the work when timelines are confirmed.

Detours will be in place around the closed area (although residents will have access at all times). The map shows the road closure and detour route for the first stage of work.

Please note: 27 May was the original start date for the road closure that was communicated to residents directly impacted by the work. This has shifted to 4 June due to the wet weather this week.
