Can you spare two hours to support people who are fighting Breast Cancer?
Hi there Hawkes' Bay people – seeking your help – we are desperately short of collectors for the Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Appeal in Hastings – could you spare two hours to help support women who are fighting breast cancer?
The dates for 2021 are Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October and we are all set to collect at these sites:
• Bunnings;
• Countdown;
• Mega Mitre 10 (this year listed as two doors: MM10 – East Door and MM 10 – West Door);
• New World Hastings (this year listed as two doors: NW Hastings Heretaunga St Entrance and NW Hastings – Hastings St Entrance);
• Pak ‘N Save; and
• Unichem Pharmacy Stortford Lodge (fingers crossed for a big Lotto prize that weekend).
Registrations are now open and so you could do any one of the following to register for this year:
• you could go to the web site - www.breastcancerfoundation.org.nz...
• or I am more than happy to assist if you contact me – either send a message here or email susiemcc@xtra.co.nz
Please ask your friends and family to lend a helping hand – blokes are more than welcome – remember – men can get breast cancer too!
Collecting is a doddle and those of you who have collected before know that people are generally very happy to contribute to this important cause.
Just send me an email if you have any questions.
I look forward to working with you all – in the pink: a scarf, a skirt, a bow-tie, earrings, a whimsey, a wig, a t-shirt/jacket/jumper, pink feather boa, pink bowler hat – some / any / all of those!
Regards
Susie McCutcheon
Pink Ribbon Appeal Co-ordinator for Hastings
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?

This Wednesday, we're having another Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with John Bracewell from Crewcut.

As a seasoned Crewcut franchisee, John is excited to answer your lawn and gardening questions. After years of perfecting the greens on the field, he's ready to share tips on how to knock your garden out of the park. Let's just say he’s as passionate about lush lawns as he is about a good game of cricket!
John is happy to answer questions about lawn mowing, tree/hedge trimming, tidying your garden, ride on mowing, you name it! He'll be online on Wednesday, 27th of November to answer them all.
