Warning in Napier- Dog owners

Megan from Havelock North

๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ Possible Cyanobacteria in the Anderson Park waterways - Please keep dogs away from the area until we give the all-clear. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ

๐Ÿ• The Problem: Our environmental team has been called to Anderson Park to check a blue-green substance that COULD be cyanobacteria. If it is cyanobacteria, then it's potentially FATAL TO DOGS.
๐Ÿ• What we're doing about it: We'll get test results back tomorrow (Monday) morning. In the meantime we've put signs up around the area, and we've got a vacuum truck in to get rid of as much of the substance as possible.
๐Ÿ• What we're asking of you: Until we know what the substance is, we're taking a precautionary approach and assuming it is cyanobacteria. Do not let your dogs drink from or swim in the Pond near the model railway and lighthouse, or the creek next to the Anderson Park Playground.
๐Ÿ• If your dog shows any of the following signs after drinking from, or swimming or paddling in water, contact your vet IMMEDIATELY and tell them you're concerned about blue-green algae:
๐Ÿ”นVomiting/being sick
๐Ÿ”น Diarrhoea
๐Ÿ”น Seizures/fitting
๐Ÿ”น Weakness/collapse/unconsciousness
๐Ÿ”น Disorientation/confusion
๐Ÿ”น Drooling
๐Ÿ”น Breathing difficulties

๐ŸŒ‰๐Ÿ›ถ Early Birds Might Crack This One Firstโ€ฆ or Not? ๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿง

The Riddler from The Neighbourly Riddler

A person is crossing a bridge and sees a boat full of people, yet there isn't a single person on board.
How is this possible?

(Susan from Massey kindly provided this head-scratcher ... thanks, Susan!)

๐Ÿชฑ๐Ÿฆ When are you the most productive? ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿฆ‰

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isnโ€™t just a choiceโ€”itโ€™s biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.

This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.

We want to hear from you:
1. When does your brain "click" into gear?
2. Would a flexible (or shortened) schedule change the way you work?
