Pink Ribbon Appeal Volunteers Needed: 13-14 October 2017

Susie Neighbourly Lead from Havelock North

We are desperately short of volunteers to collect for the annual Pink Ribbon Appeal which is happening on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October. Last year we were only operating at about 60% and I am sure we could do much better. We need more hands to collect and request that you register and ask friends and family to lend a helping hand. Blokes are more than welcome - remember men can contract breast cancer too.
Sig up now at www.pinkribbonvolunteer.co.nz... or if you have any questions phone 0508 105 105 or email pinkribbon@bcf.org.nz or me at susiemcc@xtra.co.nz
Many thanks

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
