Ben Waters has been described by Jools Holland as one of the best pianists of all time. But don't take his word for it, come and enjoy an evening of boogie-woogie and rock and roll, supported by Cousin Leonard. Besides having a great night you will be supporting Brain Injury Association (Hawkes Bay). A charity providing essential support for those suffering from a brain injury - something which could unexpectedly happen to any of us. Tickets are still available online www.blackbarn.com...

OLIO is an app that allows people to share excess food. Volunteers sometimes even stop at cafes on their way home from work and pick up unsold food to give away.
Radio New Zealand interviewed the creator of OLIO in December. I'm sure you can find the interview online still. Or just download the OLIO app and start sharing. There are currently only a few of us in the neighbourhood, and obviously it works better when there are more people. So spread the word!
